R.E.A.L. Talk

Black men, friends and happy face portrait of volunteer people outdoor at a nature park in summer. People together for community service in a green ngo tshirt for recycling and a clean enviroment.

R.E.A.L. Talk (Resiliency, Education, and Leadership) is a space centered on the experiences of male students at UNC–Chapel Hill. Students can connect, build community, and have authentic “real talk” about life. Together, we explore real-world challenges, social matters, personal growth, relationships, leadership, mental wellness, purpose, and the goals we’re working toward.

Oftentimes, we will have accomplished professional men of color who share their experiences, insights, and practical advice to help men navigate college and life beyond Carolina. Whether being mentored or just having meaningful conversations in a supportive community, R.E.A.L. Talk is a place to grow, learn, and lead.

Open to all students who are interested in engaging in these conversations and building a stronger sense of purpose, resilience, and leadership—on campus and beyond.
