Tips for Staying Safe During Football Season

Game day is a fun part of the Carolina experience! In the midst of all the excitement, be sure you’re staying safe and looking out for your fellow Tar Heels.

If you choose to drink or use substances, lower your risk by:

  • Eating beforehand
  • Staying hydrated
  • Knowing your source
  • Consuming slowly and knowing your limits
  • Sticking with friends

And remember: most UNC students drink 0–3 drinks when they go out. 

A great way to be proactive is to carry naloxone in case of overdose. You can access free naloxone anonymously at one of these locations:
