Free B.A.R.S. (Be A Responsible Server) training in the Chapel Hill Court House / Post Office (179 E. Franklin St), which includes Raise the Bar.
This training will be led by Clark Dickens, ALE Investigator/Drug Recognition Expert of the Chapel Hill Police Department and Olivia Bass, Program Assistant for Violence Prevention in Student Wellness at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The first hour of the class is B.A.R.S. training, which educates employees of ABC Permitted Establishments about criminal law and administrative regulations governing responsible business operation. This training will specifically deal with sales to underage, fraudulent identifications, sales to intoxicated persons and general ABC laws and regulations. The second hour of the class, Raise the Bar training, will give you tools to recognize and intervene when you see warning signs of alcohol or drug facilitated sexual assault.
The training is free of charge and you do not have to register before the class.
All owners, managers, or staff of licensed ABC outlets in Chapel Hill or Carrboro are encouraged to attend, and we also welcome any and all community members!
