Originally from Durham, Taylor recently relocated to Carrboro to be closer to the campus and Tar Heel family. During her time in undergraduate school at North Carolina State University, she earned her Bachelor’s in Social work while also working as a professional dog groomer in her own private, therapeutic salon. Ready to trade in clippers for notebooks, she is currently attending the University of North Carolina, working towards earning her Master’s in Social Work in the Advanced Standing MSW Program. In addition to being in the 12-month MSW program, Taylor is also part of the Substance Use and Addiction Specialist (SUAS) program as well as the PrimeCare-OUD program. She plans to use her knowledge in addiction recovery to ultimately help work towards helping those suffering with a substance use disorder and advocating for the rights of pain patients during the wake of the opioid epidemic. Outside of work and academics, Taylor dedicates almost all of her time to her beloved Yorkipoo, Sebastian
