Campus Health recognizes the importance of sexual health to the overall health of student lives. We are dedicated to providing a full range of sexual and reproductive health resources and services encompassing sexuality, contraception, STI screening, pregnancy services, and healthy sexual relationships.

The areas of sexual and reproductive health are very broad and include many topics. Some common topics are:

  • Sexuality and Sexual Identity
  • Family Planning and Contraception
  • Emergency Contraception
  • Pregnancy
  • Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
  • STI and HIV Testing
  • Sexual Pleasure
  • Healthy Sexuality including Abstinence
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Sexual and Dating Violence

Student Wellness Services 

Student Wellness provides sexual wellness resources to all UNC students through SHARE (Sexual Health and Relationship Education) services. SHARE educators offer sexual health education, one-on-one meetings, programs, and materials, including free safer sex supplies. 

Gynecology

Gynecology services are provided by board-certified medical providers. Services include comprehensive annual exams and preventive services, as well as problem visits.

Campus Health Clinics

The Campus Health Primary Care clinics can provide contraception and testing for sexually transmitted diseases. To make an appointment, call (919) 966-2281.

Sexuality and Sexual Identity

We believe that sexuality is a normal and healthy part of our lives and are actively committed to providing an inclusive and respectful environment of care for all students. Please visit the LGBTQ Center page and see our gender-affirming care page for more information and resources. 

Contraception and Safer Sex Options

Many hormonal contraception options are available to students. Please see our contraception page for more information. UNC Campus Health provides students with various free safer sex supplies to protect against pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections; safer sex supplies available to students include male and female condoms, dental dams, and more.

Pregnancy

UNC Campus Health has partnered with the UNC Obstetrics/Maternal-Fetal Medicine Group to offer the highest quality prenatal care at a reasonable cost. Please see our pregnancy services page for more information.
